We're shooting a documentary for our client Speedgroup in two weeks, so we're brushing up on our Swedish, French and Dutch. And we're using our favorite language learning application, Duolingo. Available on Android, Apple and Windows.

In the world of business, it’s important to have a grasp on multiple languages. Last year, Huffington Post published an article suggesting persons who speak multiple languages have better brain health and cognitive flexibility. Remember when Mark Zuckerberg blew the world away by learning Chinese? Every year, the US trades regularly with China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Switzerland and India with imports and exports totally more than $790 billion. Forbes tells us that the US is only ranked 10th of the best countries to do business in. While several of the other 9 in the list are English speaking countries, it would be an undoubtable benefit to learn Chinese.

There are business opportunities everywhere, especially if you are multilingual. Use Duolingo to set learning goals and keep track of your progress. We promise you won’t regret it.
